To add to the amazing line-up of the December DVD shows, Orphaned Land have now announced that next to Greg Mackintosh (Dec. 9) and Yehuda Poliker (Dec. 10), none other than Steven Wilson will be their guest for both shows! Tickets to the 20th anniversary shows of the band are quickly becoming the hottest commodity in town, so don’t wait and order yours right now.

Tour edition of ORwarriOR

Century Media released a special tour edition of ‘The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR’. Next to the regular album, the edition contains an additional CD with the video of ‘Sapari’, behind the scenes video footage of ‘Sapari’, two instrumental versions of known songs, plus the cover song ‘Estarabim’- featuring Erkin Koray a.k.a. “The Father of Turkish Rock”.

DVD shows

On 9th and 10th of December Orphaned Land will play shows in Reading 3 in Tel Aviv that will be recorded for a dvd.
Paradise Losts Greg Mackintosh will be there as a special guest for the show of the 9th (Mercy?) and for the 10th the band will be joined on stage by famous Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker. The latter was also the one who inspired the band to choose the name Orphaned Land from the lyrics of one of his songs.
These shows will be also the occasion for the band to celebrate their 20th anniversary! It will surely be a hell of a party!

Arkan’s surprise

French/ Algerian Middle- eastern metallers Arkan, who toured with Orphaned Land in May of this year are currently preparing to record their second album, which will be recorded in Sweden in Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Opeth, Arch Enemy). The album is scheduled for release in the spring of 2011. The band have announced the album will contain “a nice surprise for Orphaned Land fans”. Further details will be given at a later stage.
