Coming to the USA and Canada and touring there is exciting for us. I cannot describe my feelings seeing New York city for the first time in my life, not to mention walking on 42nd st. and to see Orphaned Land written in big letters on the billboard of the B.B.King venue. When you start your own band you dream about moments like this.
The concert in N.Y.C. was amazing, lots of Jews (including some orthodox), Arabs and metal fans came to see us. We were very happy to see that more than 500 (!!) fans came to our show. The concert was just one big celebration. We decided that for the USA we will go on stage with our controversial band photo outfits, since we are getting used to it and to break the ice we decided to go with these clothes and to walk on Times Square. It was very amusing and lots of fun! Just imagine Jesus Christ and his buddies: 2 orthodox hassidic jews and 2 arabs, walking on your street, handing you flyers.
After N.Y.C. we headed to Montreal. The travel was long and exhausting. We were delighted to find out that Montreal is one of the best places we’ve ever played: such fans! Truly crazy ones! They were waiting 3 support bands to see us and we were afraid that they would be tired, but no! They jumped, clapped, sang, you name it. We wanted to stay there forever and keep on playing!
Now we are in Toronto, preparing to maybe go and see the Niagara falls. Also we are looking forward to tomorrow’s show.
Oh… forgot to mention, if you want us to play in your own town, drive your local show promoter nuts!
Take care warriors and enjoy the videos underneath from the show in N.Y.C. at the B.B. King which fans posted earlier this week!
